Technical Project Manager (m/f/d)

Our mission at SafeAD is to deliver the most intelligent and safe autonomous driving technology. We believe the key to achieving this is all AI and mapless. Our technology is used by some of the world’s largest automakers and Tier 1 suppliers.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Manage customer projects from the initial proposal stage through to successful implementation.
  • Develop and write project proposals in collaboration with technical teams and partners.
  • Coordinate project meetings, work packages, and project timelines.
  • Identify funding opportunities at the national and European levels (e.g., BMBF, BMWK, Horizon Europe).
  • Build and organize project consortia with industry and research partners.
  • Initiate, coordinate, and manage publicly funded research and development projects.
  • Take responsibility for communication with project agencies, funding bodies, and consortium partners.
  • Support and coordinate the recruitment process for new team members.
  • Represent SafeAD at trade fairs, conferences, and other events.

We require you to have:

  • A completed degree in a technical field, such as Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable discipline.
  • Experience in technical project management within autonomous driving, robotics, and/or autonomy software.
  • Experience with publicly funded research and development projects.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English.
  • A self-driven, structured, and reliable working style.
  • An interest in combining technical topics with project management and strategic collaboration.
